Většina svatebních rozhodnutí stojí na třech věcech: datu, místě a počtu hostů. Dokud nejsou pevné, nemá smysl objednávat menu, tisknout pozvánky ani skládat zasedací pořádek. Začněte jimi a další kroky přidávejte v tomto pořadí.

    Než podepíšete smlouvu s místem, ověřte na matrice obce, kam místo patří, že vás tam v ten den oddají. Obřad mimo obcí určené místo nebo čas je možný, ale na žádost a za správní poplatek 3 000 Kč. U církevního sňatku se nejdřív domluvte s farností nebo sborem.

    Hrubý seznam hostů určí velikost místa i většinu nákladů, protože jídlo, pití a často i ubytování se počítají na osobu. Rozpočet proto skládejte od počtu hostů, ne od výzdoby.

    Fotograf, hudba, catering a koordinátorka mají na jeden den jen jednu svatbu, proto je zamlouvejte hned po místě. U každé smlouvy si zapište zálohu, splatnost doplatku a storno podmínky.

    Termín odpovědí odvoďte od dne, kdy chce kuchyně finální počet. Ptejte se jen na to, co použijete: účast, menu a stravovací omezení za každou osobu.

What to watch for

Three mistakes that are hard to undo.

Most problems come from the order of steps, rather than a lack of care.

  • Paying the venue deposit before calling the registry office

    The farm or garden may be available, but the registry office may not conduct ceremonies that day. The office responsible for the venue's district authorizes ceremonies outside the ceremony hall. Call before paying the deposit.

  • A budget without a guest count

    Every additional guest increases food, drinks, seats and often room costs. Work with a range, such as 70 to 90 guests, and refine it after the response deadline.

  • An RSVP deadline set too late

    If responses arrive in the week the kitchen needs final counts, there is no time for follow-ups or the seating plan. Work backwards from the catering deadline.

How far ahead should we start planning a wedding?

Czech law sets no planning period, and a wedding can be prepared in a few months. Venue and vendor availability are the limits, not the authorities. With a shorter lead time, start with the registry office and venue; everything else follows.

Do we need a wedding coordinator?

You do not have to have one. But someone must manage the timeline, handle changes and talk to vendors on the day. Without a coordinator, that falls to witnesses or family who would rather be celebrating. A coordinator saves the most work for weddings outside a ceremony hall and multi-day weddings.
